Hero’s Journey: Mr. Bandy
Mr. Bandy came to us after an extended stay in the hospital and requiring an intensive rehab to home program in order to safely return home independently. He was anxious to return home as soon as possible and participated in a higher level program for both Occupational and Physical therapy in order to ensure that he could safely return home and be able to be independent in the community while performing all his ADLS. Due to his determination he was able to return home safely after a very short stay with us and was very happy to have reached all his goals in such a short time. We wish you well Mr. Bandy!
Hero’s Journey: Ms. Gentry
Ms. Gentry came to our facility after suffering a CVA and noted to be at maximum assist with transfers, toileting, dressing and ambulation. Her goal was to return home with her husband as soon as she could and was able to do this in two weeks with an aggressive physical, occupational, and speech therapy regimen. After therapy services started, she progressed well with all goals and at discharge was able to return home safely with her husband assisting when needed. The patient quickly returned to prior level of function and was so happy to be re-united with her husband in less than 2 weeks. Great job Ms. Gentry and the therapy department to be able to attain your goals in such a short time.
Hero’s Journey: Ms. HareCurry
Ms. HareCurry came to our facility with high expectation for a short rehab to home journey. However, all the medical odds were against her to be able to return home to her prior independent level safely. This did not stop her from participating in physical, occupational, speech, and restorative therapy programs in order to be able to reach all her goals in an effort to return to her home setting and be as independent as possible. Against all the odds she pushed through with determination and was able to return home in less than 3 weeks at her prior independent level. Way to go Ms. HareCurry we are very happy to assist you in your therapy to return home safely.
Bible Reading Challenge Storms Liberty Care and Rehab!

We held a New Testament Bible Challenge! We are so proud of our Liberty Care Family who stepped up to the podium and read aloud from the Bible around the clock January 28th and 29th. We had nearly 40 volunteers read the New Testament books Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Acts in 15 minute increments. We were blessed to have involvement from stakeholders and their children, residents, family members, and six community pastors and preachers! As a grand finale, we read all 22 chapters of Revelation simultaneously all over our building. The Word of God was being read in resident’s rooms, in offices, in the country store, in dietary, in the front lobby, in the day rooms, in the dining room, in therapy, and in the chapel all at once! It was awesome!
